Jan van Eyck was an Early Netherlandish painter active in Bruges and one of the most significant Northern Renaissance artists of the 15th century. Outside of the Ghent Altarpiece completed with his brother Hubert van Eyck, and the illuminated miniatures ascribed to Hand G—believed to be Jan—of the Turin-Milan Hours, only about 25 surviving works are confidently attributed to him, all dated between 1432 and 1439.

Kristy Anne Ligones, who goes by the artist name KDLIG (Kay-dee-league) is a filipino illustrator, residing in Dubai. She divides her time working as an illustrator for an ad agency with working on personal projects to express her artistic side. Her work is mostly categorized as Pop Surrealism and she is inspired by urban, graffiti and low-brow art.

Lapin is a french illustrator, an artist, an urban sketcher based in Barcelona.

He can be defined as a mobile illustrator who carries his sketchbook and his compact sketching gear to the street, to a bar, to a metro, to Istanbul or Tokyo. Sketching is a way for him to record every second of his life and feel alive. He can sketch sitting on a floor for hours or just having a beer in his hand or just during one metro stop.

Starla Halfmann is a professional Austin artist and Texas native. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Design Communications from Texas Tech University. Her art and design interests are varied but her focus is on pushing the limits of impasto style paintings combined with mixed media.

Romancing Banality, a visually arresting installation by multimedia artist Lyle Carbajal, opens to the public June 6th at Tinney Contemporary. The exhibition kicked off in Seattle, followed by New Orleans and after months of preparation and personal integration into Nashville life and culture by artist/creator Carbajal, will transform for its next phase at downtown’s Tinney Contemporary.
